What is really important?
One of my life changes is trimming crap from the edges of my life. I spend so much time and energy doing shit that doesnt matter and brings nothing to my life.
For example? Foursquare. Its so stupid. Besides the free baby chips I got from Grill’d for checking in there a few times, I dont get squat from it besides the weekly points tally where I can see just how much more socially active my friends without children really are.
So, I cut Foursquare loose. Its only small, but I dont immediately go for my iPhone when I go for coffee anymore and thats kinda cool that I have broken that conditioning.
I dont like looking at my iPhone or iPad while I am with other people, so removing the tendencies to do that is quite important.
I have been having fleeting thoughts about Twitter and Facebook also. I shouldn’t need to share everything with everyone. I’ll post the pics I take to my semi-secret pic site and everything else I’ll absorb and tell the people who I think will actually give a toss. I also get emotional on FB (I cant believe that person is updating their status but they didn’t reply to my email!!) And, really, my energy is better spent elsewhere.
(Side note, I find it a little bit funny that there is a ‘send to twitter’ checkbox on the form where I am typing this.)

Squall a’comin’!
I used to blog a lot. In fact, it would be strange for me to go more than a few days without posting on Sustain Myself, Christian Biggins or Fliquid Studios.
I kinda stopped for several reasons. One was I simply became too busy with my children to really dedicate any time to it and also I became a little uninterested in sharing everything with everybody. You can see from the blogs above that they have gone stale. Fliquid Studios is the only one I have posted to for a long time because I like sharing tech stuff.
This tumblr has always been simply a place for me to distribute news and articles. Its much easier for me to post a link in one place and have it distributed to Facebook and Twitter automatically. But these days I share different things with Facebook, G+ and Twitter as I have different audiences on each. So, this tumblr went stale also.
My life has just started taking some changes, I have been working on several ways to make my life less busy, less over whelming and more pleasant. I have decided that on my journey to a more calm, pleasant existence, I would like to share what I learn about myself and the process. This tumblr is going to be the place for that.
Sit back, relax, and watch as I attack my many issues.
